Equal Opportunities Legal basis
The legal basis for the tasks of the Equal Opportunities Officer is enshrined in the Act on the Realization of Equal Opportunities for Women and Men in the Public Service in Baden-Württemberg, the “ChancenG”
The Equal Opportunities Officer is guided by the Equal Opportunities Act (ChancenG) and the Federal Equal Opportunities Act (BGleiG). These two laws regulate the rights and obligations of the Equal Opportunities Officer.
Examples:
- Early involvement in all personnel, organizational, and social measures affecting the professional situation of female colleagues in scientific support.
- Submission of proposals for initiatives to optimize equality structures or structures to promote work-life balance.
- Participation in the internal continuing education program.
- Annual meeting of female colleagues in scientific support.
- Offering consultation hours that can be attended without going through official channels.
